Project Responsibilities
As a QA Technician on F1 22, I built upon my previous experience to efficiently test and ensure the stability and quality of the game’s Career Mode. Leveraging my expertise from previous titles, I was able to complete tasks more effectively while maintaining a high standard of bug reporting and issue tracking. My role involved extensive playtesting, identifying issues, and reporting them through JIRA to advance efficient resolution by the development team. Key Responsibilities:
Conducted rigorous testing of Career Mode, identifying gameplay, UI, and progression-related issues.
Performed localisation testing, ensuring accurate translations and proper functionality across multiple languages.
Logged, tracked, and verified bugs using JIRA, ensuring detailed and clear reports for developers.
Collaborated with designers and programmers to reproduce issues and provide additional context for fixes.
Performed regression testing to confirm that previous bug fixes did not introduce new issues.
Provided structured feedback on game balance, AI behaviour, and user experience.
Testing Strategies: To ensure thorough testing of different game elements, I implemented various testing methodologies, including:
Exploratory Testing – Played through different Career Mode scenarios to identify unexpected bugs and edge cases.
Test Case Execution – Followed structured test plans to validate core gameplay mechanics, UI functionality, and system performance.
Regression Testing – Re-tested resolved issues to verify fixes and confirm no new bugs were introduced.
Boundary Testing – Pushed the game’s mechanics to their limits (e.g., extreme AI difficulty settings, resource management within the mode) to uncover hidden defects.
Audio & Visual Validation – Ensured in-game sound effects, commentary, and animations functioned correctly within different race scenarios.
Compatibility Testing – Checked game stability across different hardware setups and configurations to ensure consistent performance.
Localisation Testing – Verified text accuracy, UI layout, and voice-over integration across multiple languages.
Through these strategies, I utilized my experience to streamline QA processes while contributing to the refinement of F1 22, helping deliver a polished and immersive Formula 1 experience for players worldwide.
