F1 2020 - Codemasters

​F1 2020 is the first industry project I worked with the Codemasters quality assurance team. Below is the breakdown of what tasks were assigned by the team during the development period of the title.

My Role

Worked with the Play-through team​ and worked on the Driver Career mode testing all the features within this game mode from previous features and new features added to this years game. 

Followed test plans created for the Driver Career and making sure everything worked as it should do. Anything that was wrong or didn't work as intended would then be written into a bug report and then posted onto JIRA to be fixed once it was claimed fix I would than re-test the feature and make sure it was working or not.

​Worked the release weekend and testing any issues that would appear onto Codemasters forum page. This also included adding all the Gamer tags and platforms to an Excel form to investigate the Pitstop coin issue.

After release, it was then just testing issues from the forum and working on patch builds before my time on this project came to an end at the end of July 2020.

Skills Used/Learnt

  • Worked Collaboratively with others in the team to test faults on multiple platforms
  • Learnt XDK (Xbox Development Kit) 
  • Learnt Industry standard Bug reporting using JIRA
  • Testing additional Languages (English, Spanish)
