DiRT5 - Codemasters

DiRT 5 is the second industry title I have had the privilege of working on with the Codemasters quality assurance team. Below is a breakdown of what I was tasked, during the development period of the title.​

My Role

Worked with the Functional team​ and worked on a variety of game modes testing features from Split-screen, Throwdowns, Career and Free play. Making sure everything worked as designed. 

Other tasks completed during development are as followed. Following test plans and reporting any issues that occurred during gameplay onto JIRA and depending on a build to an Excel sheet, Testing multiple languages such as French, Spanish, and German. And waiting for updated test builds too then verify or open bugs that have been fixed or not.

Skills Used/Learnt

  • Worked Collaboratively with others in the team to test faults on multiple platforms.
  • Increased Knowledge of XDK. (Xbox Development Kit) 
  • Advanced my JIRA knowledge and detailed bug reporting with different projects.
  • Communicating issues to others on the project to get a wider testing circle.
  • Testing in Different Languages (English, Spanish, German, Italian, French and, Brazilian Portuguese.)
